Ivy Green was built in 1820. It is a design of Southern architecture. The house survived the Civil War and is maintained in its original state. It is now kept in a memorial to the blessed miracles in the life of Helen Keller, a 7-year-old blind girl. Ivy Green is on the National Register of Historic Places.
